Welcome to the instructions page.

Each function has a description, shortcut and location in the administration area. You will be asked to login to your store the first time you run a function. This page is printer-friendly for those that prefer to print and read.

Account Settings  
Change Username

Changes the login Username. The username can be any word up to 20 letters or your email address. A secure connection is used to encrypt the information during transfer.

Change Password

Changes the login Password. We recommend changing it regularly and making sure it contains a combination of letters and numbers. A secure connection is used to encrypt the information during transfer.

Change Contact Name

Changes the name of the primary contact person for your store. This will assist the team at Jumbostore should we ever need to contact you in regard to your Jumbostore account, and also aids us in any event where we need to refer a customer to you directly.

Changes the contact email address for your store. This is the email address where all order confirmations and other important information is sent. You should ensure that the email address you provide is correct and reliable.

Changes the contact phone and fax numbers for the primary contact person.

Creates a new store. This store is associated with the primary contact person. It is possible to have many stores associated with one person. These stores may be all different, or may be departments of one large store.

Views the store listing in the Jumbomall. Each store has the option to be listed in the Jumbomall for extra customer traffic.

Store Description

Changes the short description of your store. There is enough space for 5 lines of text. No HTML tags allowed. This description is used in your stores listing in the Jumbomall. . This will help customers identify which stores are likely to have the products and services they are searching for.

All of Joe Bloggs' equipment is covered by 12 month warranty and has been proven to stand the test of time. Be sure to check out our great range of rods, reels, hooks, and other tackle supplies.

Store Keywords

Changes the keywords for the store used by the keywords search in the Jumbomall. The more words you can provide, the better the chance that your store will come up in Search results. The keywords need only to be separated by a space.

Changes the URL (web site address) of your stores web site. This link will be positioned in your store in the Jumbomall so customers can visit this site to get further information. A website also demonstrates your commitment to online trade.

Store Logo

Changes the URL to an image of your store logo hosted on your server. The logo will appear on you store within the Jumbomall and will make your store look more professional.

Realtime Mode

Switches the realtime mode on and off. When switched on, the customers' credit card is billed immediately after the order. When switched off, the customers' credit card is not billed immediately and is billed manually from the vault. Merchants sometimes want to check if a product is in stock before billing the card, rather than sending through a refund.

Purchasing Policy

Changes your purchasing policy message. This message appears in your store in the Jumbomall and informs a customer what your policy is. You should provide customers with your policies regarding purchases, refunds and returns.

Example:

Joe Bloggs' Fishing tackle is happy to exchange goods that do not meet with customers satisfaction within 2 weeks of purchase. Should goods be faulty on arrival Joe Bloggs' aims to have replacement goods shipped to customer within 7 days.

Payment Options

Changes your payment options that you provide to your customers. Your choices are Credit Card, Check/Cheque, Cash, Transfer, C.O.D,. Money Order, Pick Up, P.O. Number, PayPal and Other.

Credit Cards

Changes your accepted credit cards. Your choices are Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, Bankcard, Discover and Switch. Other cards are available on request.

Store Currency

Changes the currency that your product prices are quoted in. This does not have to be the national currency of your country. Many merchants choose to display their prices in US dollars because it is easy for people around the world to convert into their own currency.

Changes the country of your store. This information is important as it may also affect your shipping and tax options for customers.

This option is for Australian stores only. If your store is being run from Australia you will need to provide your ABN for GST regulation purposes. The Jumbostore software is GST compliant and makes quick work of GST calculations.

Measurement Units

Changes your measurement units for your store. This will be required for correct calculation of shipping charges. You may select between metric or imperial units.

New Shipping Method

Creates a new shipping method. Each shipping method is an option for customers to choose.

Rank Shipping Methods

Ranks all shipping methods in order to be presented in the shopping cart. Most common shipping methods can be placed at the top of the list for easy selection by customers.

Shipping Method Label

Changes the label of the shipping method. This label will appear in the drop-down selection box for customer choice.

Shipping Description

Changes the description of the shipping method. This description provides extra information to the customer such as delivery time. This description appears in the shopping cart next to the shipping amount. A different description is available for each shipping method.

Delivery Region

Changes the region where the store will ship to. "International" is the most common option however some stores may only ship their products into a particular region. This affects the message displayed to customers. If your required region is not listed, please contact Jumbostore.

Delivery Time

Changes the time for earliest and guaranteed delivery. These times are displayed to the customer.

Shipping Charges

Changes the shipping charges option between Free, Quote or Calculated. Free ignores charges. Quote informs customers that the store will quote for delivery. Calculated charges will be automatically calculated as per extra information.

Fixed Shipping Charge

Changes the fixed fee (flat charge) for shipping, regardless of any other information such as size and weight. The fixed fee may be based on per-item or per-order. A per-item fee is multiplied by the number of items in the order. A per-order fee is charged only once per order.

Order Shipping Charge

Sets the shipping charge to be based on the order total. For example, shipping charges may be set to $10 for order totals under $200 and $20 for orders over $200. A percentage scale can be set using the perc_ship_charge function.

Volume Shipping Charge

Sets the shipping charge to be based on the volume of the ordered items. The volume of each product will need to be entered. For example, shipping charges may be set to $10 per cubic meter.

Weight Shipping Charge

Sets the shipping charge to be based on the weight of the ordered items. The weight of each product will need to be entered. For example, shipping charges may be set to $10 per 20Kg.

Percentage Shipping Charge

Sets the shipping charge to be based on a percentage of the order amount. For example, shipping charges may be set to 10% of the order total.

New Tax Options

Product Name

Product Code

Product Keywords

Sets the link to the web address of a picture to associate with this product category. This can also assist customers in finding particular product types within your store, should be quick to load, and will also improve the look and feel of your store.

New Product Picture

Adds a new product picture for a selected product. Use the "Browse" button to locate either a gif or jpg file on your computer, select the product and upload the image to the Jumbo server. This image will appear in the product page in your store within the Jumbomall.

List Product Pictures

Lists all uploaded images. These images may then be deleted if required.

Delete Product Pictures

New Product Thumbnail

Adds a new product thumbnail picture for a selected product. Thumbnails are small pictures (60x60 pixels) that appear in the shopping cart. These thumbnails make it easy for customers to visualize the products that have been added into the shopping cart.

List Product Thumbnails

Lists all uploaded thumbnail images. These images may then be deleted if required.

Delete Product Thumbnails

Batch Upload

Uploads your product catalogue as a batch. This function is faster than manually entering each product individually. The product catalogue is contained in a CSV (Comma Separated Values) text file. The format of this file is determined by first manually entering a few products and exporting these products using the batch_export function. Select the upload option to either create and update, create only, update only or replace the existing catalogue.
NOTE: Some database / spreadsheet experience required.

Batch Export

Exports your product catalogue into a CSV (Comma Separated Values) text file. This file may be imported into a spreadsheet or database program. The file may also be stored as a backup and be uploaded at any time.

Web Site Tools  
Generate Shopping Cart HTML

Generates the HTML code for the shopping cart. Select the products you wish to generate and copy and paste this code into your own web pages. Options include:
Include product name and price in HTML
Include HTML for product options
Include a Quantities box for multiple orders.
Open a new window for the shopping cart.
Bypass shopping cart and go directly to the order form.

Generate Shopping Cart Options

Shortcut:

Generates the HTML code for the product options associated with each product. For example, some products require the customer to select color and size.

Generate View Cart HTML

Generates the HTML code to view the current contents of the shopping cart. No products are added to the cart. This helps customers who forget what they have added to their cart.

Generate Cart Quantity Box

Generates the HTML code for a quatities box with the shopping cart. The quantities box allows customers to type in a number to order more than one product. This is often more convenient that clicking the shopping cart over and over.

Generate Form HTML

Generates the HTML code for a form as another way of entering products into the shopping cart. A form can be used to add multiple items into the cart at once.

Shopping Cart Bypass

Bypasses the shopping cart and places the product directly into the checkout (order) page. This is a time-saving tool for sites with a small number of products where customers are not likely to order multiple products.
Instructions:
Use the gen_cart_html function and replace "add.cgi" with "checkout.cgi". All other HTML code is unaltered.

Multi Cart

Adds multiple products from a single store into the cart with one click. This function is useful for stores that like to sell packages of goods as a special offer.

Matching the theme to your website will make your ordering system look more professional.

Use the "Subject Line" box to change the subject of the email and the "Signature" box to change the signature (end) of the email body. The %store_fields% marker is used to locate the position of these custom fields.

Displays the general status of all orders by listing the number of unprocessed orders and the number of orders not yet shipped. This is an action list of orders that need to be attended to.

List Orders

Lists all orders requiring attention. Orders go through 3 stages:
1. Pending. This indicates the order has been accepted but a delay has occurred (waiting for stock to arrive).
2. Approved/Declined. This indicates if the merchant has accepted or declined the order.
3. Shipped. This indicates if the order has been shipped.
To process an order, check the required action and click "Process Checked Orders". Multiple orders and actions can be done in one step. To look up the details of an order, click on the order number. An email is automatically sent to the customer notifying them of the change of status. To disable this email, use the "Send Confirmation Email to Customer" option.

Order Pending

Sets an order as "pending" indicating that the order has been approved but a delay has occurred. The most common use of this function is when a product is out of stock, but will be shipped shortly. If an order cannot be shipped within a reasonable time, the order should be declined. When the product arrives and is shipped, click on "shipped" and the order will disappear from the list.

Order Approved

Sets an order as "approved" meaning that the merchant is willing to ship the products. Please note this is different from a credit card approval. If the realtime mode is switched ON (realtime_mode) then the customers' credit card is billed at the time of the order. If you decide to decline the order, the customer will need to be refunded.
If the realtime mode is switched OFF, the credit card is billed when this function is used.
An automatic email is sent to the customer notifying them of the change of status.

Order Declined

Sets an order as "declined" meaning that the merchant is unwilling to ship the products. Please note this is different from a credit card approval. If the realtime mode is switched ON (realtime_mode) then the customers' credit card is billed at the time of the order. If you decide to decline the order, the customer will need to be refunded.
If the realtime mode is switched OFF, the credit card is billed when this function is used.
An automatic email is sent to the customer notifying them of the change of status.

Order Cancelled

Sets an order as "cancelled" meaning that the order has previously been approved by the merchant but now must be cancelled because of an agreement between the customer and the merchant. An order can only be cancelled from the "Order Detail" page. If the customers' credit card has been billed then it will need to be refunded. See order_refund function.

Order Refund

Refunds and order to a customer. This function sends a request to Jumbo staff who will notify the bank to refund the order and return the money.
An automatic email will be sent to the customer when the refund is complete.

Order Shipped

Sets an order as "shipped" meaning that the product has been sent to the customer. This indicates the order is compete and the order will not appear on the "Current Orders" list. However the order will still be kept on record.
An automatic email is sent to the customer notifying them of the change of status.

Test Order Send

Shortcut:

Sends a test order through your system. A test order works exactly like a normal order except no money is billed. The first time this function is used, a request is sent to Jumbo staff who will email you back with details.

Test Order Mark

Sets an order as "test" meaning that the order is only used for testing purposes. The order background is changed to grey.

Print Order

Prints a hard copy of your order. Click on the order number to enter the "Order Details" page. At the bottom of this page is a "Print Version" link that will generate a clean version for printing. Use your web browsers print function (File, Print or Ctrl+P) to print this page.

Find Order Number

Finds an order from the order number. All orders are assigned a unique number in the format JUM-xxxxx-yyyyy. The xxxxx number is assigned by Jumbo and yyyyy is assigned by our gateway for credit card authorization. If the order did not have the credit card approved by the Jumbo gateway, the yyyyy digits will be omitted.

Find All Orders

Affilates ON/OFF

Switches the affiliates system on and off for a particular store.
To switch on the affiliates system, enter a commission rate higher than 0%.
To switch off the affiliates system, return the commission rate to 0%.

List Affiliate Status

Lists all stores with their affiliate status (on or off). If the affiliate status is on, further functions are available to list joined affiliates. Switches the affiliates system on and off for a particular store.
To switch on the affiliates system, enter a commission rate higher than 0%.
To switch off the affiliates system, return the commission rate to 0%.

Edit Commission

Changes the commission rate offered to affiliates. This is the percentage of sales that is due to an affiliate if they have successfully created found a customer for your store.

Edit Expiry

Shortcut:

Changes the expiry time (days) of the customer tag. When an affiliate sends a customer to your site, that customer is "tagged" with the name of the affiliate. This tag is a web browser cookie that is set to expire after this time period.
If the customer makes a purchase within the expiry time, the sale is credited to the affiliate and commission is due.
If the customer makes a purchase after the expired time, the sale is not credited to the affiliate and commission is not due.

Generate HTML to Signup Affiliates

Shortcut:
html_aff_signup

Generates the HTML code to paste into your website to signup affiliates. This HTML creates a form where new affiliates must enter their name and email address. A password is emailed to the affiliate together with the HTML link for the tag page. The tag page is the page on your site that the affiliates will send their customers to.

Generate HTML for Affiliate Login

Shortcut:
html_aff_login

Generates the HTML code to paste into your website to login affiliates. After login, affiliates can retrieve their orders. This is the same as logging into the Jumbostore, but is more direct.

Edit Tag Page

Shortcut:
edit_tag_page

Changes the web address (URL) of the tag page.
The tag page is part of your web site and should display your offer and ask the customer to buy or link to get more information. The customer may make their purchase at any page on your site after the tag page.
Affiliates will send their customers to a web address at Jumbostore that will "tag" the customer to that affiliate and forward them on to your tag page. If that tagged customer makes a purchase before the expiry date, the sale will be credited to that affiliate.

List all Affilates

Lists all affiliates signed up to promote your store. This including those that have made no sales and those that have.

Reject Affiliate

Shortcut:

Rejects an affilate and removes them from the list. When an affilate signs up to your affiliate program, an email will be sent to you and their name will be added to the list. Use this function if you wish to reject this affiliate for whatever reason.

List Processed Affilate Orders

Shortcut:

Lists all affiliates that have processed orders credited to them. An processed order has not yet been approved or declined by the merchant.
Details of those affiliates orders can then be listed. Orders are approved or declined with the order_approved or order_declined functions.

List Joined Stores

Lists all stores that an affiliate has joined. This function is for the affiliate (partner).

Tag Page Link

Shortcut:

Get the link to the tag page that traffic should be sent to.
The link is emailed when a store is joined, but if this is lost, use this function to find the link. All customer traffic should be sent to this link to have the customer "tagged" to your account. Once tagged, the customers' order will be credited to your account and commission will be due.

List All Sales

Lists all sales made for a particular store. This includes both approved and declined orders. Commission is due on approved orders but not on declined orders.

List Approved Sales

Apply to become an affiliate

Apply to become an affiliate with a store that has an affiliate program. Some stores that are seeking affiliates will be listed. Use the "Join" button to send your request to that store. The link to the stores tag page will be emailed to you. This is the link that all customer traffic should be sent to. The customer will be tagged to your account and if that customer makes a purchase before the expiry date, the sale will be credited to you and commission will be due.
