A more efficient way to build and operate online stores
HTML-based E-Commerce is a technique
for building secure web stores without the need to install web server software.
This greatly simplifies the process of selling on the web
because only HTML code is modified.
How does Jumbostore help me build and maintain my online
store?
By giving you hundreds of lines of HTML code to add to your site with these 3
steps:
1. GENERATE. HTML
is generated in your Jumbostore Account based on your store preferences.
2. COPY. Copy the HTML from
your web browser.
3. PASTE. Paste the HTML into
your web pages for E-Commerce functions such as shopping carts, direct order,
catalogue search and more...
Over 160 E-Commerce functions are available
for you to use to build and operate your store. As more people ask us to handle
their individual store requirements, we write more functions to accommodate
a wide variety of selling methods. Use the E-Commerce Functions list in the
left menu to learn how to...
Put shopping cart buttons on your web site
(gen_cart_html).
Jumbostore - The Inventors of HTML-based E-Commerce.
The technique was first developed in
1995 by the team at Jumbo
Corporation (led by Mike Veverka and Xavier Bergade). At the time (and
still today), the cost of other e-commerce enabled products was well out
of reach to most budding web entrepreneurs. Because of security concerns
(money is involved with each sale!), store builders had to build and
maintain their own secure web server and all the software to operate
their store.
A shared system was required to bring the costs down.
The Jumbostore
team began development in 1995 on a system that would be fully secure
and offer a high level of flexibility to web developers (with an easy to
use web-based wizard). The result is what you see here right now.
